Waxahachie Tourism

historic waxahachie

Waxahachie attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year through cultural and heritage tourism, special events and shopping. The Historic Downtown District is home to a myriad of antique shops, restaurants, boutiques, gift shops and specialty stores that are famous for great shopping and dining experiences.

Hundreds of beautiful historic homes and buildings create a beautiful backdrop for a sound economy and a contemporary lifestyle. Twenty percent of all the buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places/Texas section are located in Waxahachie.

With the Central Business District encompassing places for dining and dancing, along with the Bed & Breakfast Inns and Historic Rogers Hotel, everything you need for entertainment is right around the corner!

Home tours, movie tours, walking and driving tours are available through the Waxahachie Convention and Visitors Bureau. Theme tours — such as "Spook-Tacular Tour," which highlights some of Waxahachie’s haunted attractions — can also be arranged.
