Waxahachie Business and Industry

Waxahachie has one of the richest histories of any city in the Metroplex, and it has many new chapters unfolding in this story. The tale of Waxahachie’s Historic Downtown District is mingled with the city’s past and the hope of a bright, new future.

The development of Waxahachie’s downtown area into an entertainment and governmental hub is vital to our city’s future. The City Council is creating economic development and redevelopment districts to provide the financial and administrative framework for change. Waxahachie has transformed local economy by shedding much of the older industrial-era portfolios and staked renewed industries. Today, a new era in the county’s development is also unfolding. The city’s growth prospects for the years ahead appear positive, and it continues to incubate new firms and industries.

Current sales and production levels for the Waxahachie area indicate a strong growth for industry and business, which is a strong sector of the community.

The Chamber is a one-stop resource for industry and business needs. It works closely with the City of Waxahachie and the Small Business Development Center at Navarro College, and is available to handle your needs.

The Chamber offers an aggressive "Shop Waxahachie" campaign each year from November through March, encouraging residents to spend their dollars locally. The campaign is designed to attract visitors to the city as well. This citywide campaign impacts the entire business community, its overall economy and the retail sales tax base in the city.

For business functions and meetings, the city hosts a state-of-the-art Civic Center. This meeting facility has plenty of space at a great value, and can be enjoyed at a fraction of the cost of other area meeting facilities.
