Worship & Volunteer Services
Chesterfield County respects and welcomes people of all denominations and faiths. In fact, the area has more than 200 churches, synagogues, temples and religious organizations. More than 27 denominations are represented in the county, and that number continues to grow as we become more diversified.
You know residents value their community when they invest in it by actively volunteering their time to help their neighbors. In 2003, more than 5,000 Chesterfield County residents volunteered more than 63,000 hours of their time for a variety of county programs ranging from assisted living activity aides to volunteer firefighters. From the schools and hospitals to the local food bank and animal shelter, Chesterfield County volunteers can be found pitching in at many local organizations.
