The Center for Child & Family Services is a nonprofit community service organization. Our mission is to empower people to face life’s challenges. Since 1943, the Center has been serving the needs of children and families on the Virginia Peninsula. We help with life’s challenges by providing programs to individuals and families that empower them to improve their lives. Programs range from Mental Health and Child Abuse Counseling, Family Counseling, Financial Education and Credit Counseling, Child Care Training and Consultation, Domestic Violence and Youth Violence Prevention Services are just a few of our programs. We have offices in Hampton and Williamsburg serving thousands of people every year.

Victory YMCA
The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through the four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, family involvement, community partnerships and healthy lifestyles into all we do. YMCA membership and programs are available to all regardless of a person’s ability to pay the full price.

VersAbility Resources
Founded in 1953, VersAbility Resources continues to strengthen the peninsula and beyond. Their services range from coordinating developmental therapies for children to building successful business partnerships that provide staffing solutions for employers and provide jobs in Hampton Roads and beyond for people with disabilities. Adults with disabilities participating in VersAbility Resources employment programs earned over $5.5 million in wages and benefits in 2012. They provide federal contract staffing through our 13 government contracts, through which people with disabilities work alongside enlisted and civilian personnel at military bases as far away as Hawaii.

Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Foundation, Inc.
The Sarah Bonwell Hudgins Foundation enhances the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, solicits funds, awards grants and provides education and research to the public.

Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia, Inc.
The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia, Inc. was established in 2003 to provide individuals and organizations with opportunities to invest in our community in order to improve the quality of life for citizens of the Virginia Peninsula.

National Institute of Aerospace
The National Institute of Aerospace is a Research and Innovation Laboratories facility, located at 1100 Exploration Way in Hampton, VA is unique in the region, having been constructed from the outset to facilitate collaboration between research staff, faculty, students, and industry with its shared-use facilities.

Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads
Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads engages youth (ages 11-18) in meaningful volunteer opportunities that positively impact the lives of others.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg partners with area families, local government, businesses, faith groups, schools, associations and individual volunteers and donors to build safe, decent affordable homes and also to repair homes for lower-income families. In response to the great need for safe, decent, affordable housing on the Virginia Peninsula, an ecumenical group of individuals formed this local affiliate in 1985.
