Festivals and Events in Colville

Fun Festivals, Fairs and Events in Colville WA

Our Colville calendar is crowded with annual festivals, fairs and contests open to the general public. Here is a sample of the fun.

Christmas Tree Extravaganza (December)
Lavishly decorated Christmas trees laden with gifts are donated by area businesses and raffled off at the Gala Dinner Dance sponsored by the Colville Chamber of Commerce. The public is invited to attend. Other activities during the holiday season include horse-drawn wagon rides, tree lighting, carol singing and shopping specials.

Winterfest (January)
Sledding hills, snow mazes and snow huts provide a fun day for kids to climb, sled and play. Exhibits of winter sports equipment, food and hot drinks make the event fun for all ages.

Gold Rush Fun Run (January)
Sponsored by the Driftriders Snowmobile Club, snowmobilers start from Beaver Lodge on the Little Pend Oreille Lake and cruise through the trail system in the Colville National Forest. Contestants stand to win as much as $1,500 in prize money.

WILD Turkey Daze (April)
The Chamber of Commerce co-sponsors a banquet with the National Wild Turkey Federation to raise money for turkey habitat and to recognize Stevens County as the number one turkey-hunting county in Washington State. Stevens County hunters have numerous Merriam Turkeys listed in the top 10 for size in the whole county.

Colville Panorama Pro-West Rodeo (Father’s Day Weekend)
A rodeo has been held on this national holiday for more than 60 years. Festivities kick off on Friday evening with a Bull-a-rama that allows amateurs to try their hand at bull riding before they take a seat to watch the professionals compete. Cowboy breakfasts, parades and a dance complete the weekend excitement for all ages.

Washington Governor’s Cup Walleye Tournament (June)
A two-person event that challenges fishermen to haul in the heaviest catch of a two-day tournament on Lake Roosevelt.

Governors from all states are invited to send a representative team, and the trophy is shipped to the winner’s state for display. A Junior Walleye Tournament on that Saturday adds to the family participation.

Colville Rendezvous Days (August)
A fun summer event attracting visitors to Yep Kanum City Park. Activities include sports tournaments, arts and crafts booths, history displays and main stage entertainment. A miniature golf course and climbing wall keep the children busy. The Battle of the Bands showcases new talent in our area. The Sunday Classic Car Show is enjoyed by all ages. www.colvillerendezvous.org.
