Transportation

Mercer County’s position along the state’s southern border naturally renders it a major transportation crossroads. Exit 9, which is the intersection of I-77 and U.S. Route 460 located outside of Princeton, is one of the busiest in the state. Mercer County lies within a 500-mile radius of 50 percent of the U.S. population. From Mercer County you have easy access to major highways going north and south and those highways going east and west (I-77, I-64, I-79, I-81, U.S. Route 460).
