Health Care

Beaver Dam Community Hospital (BDCH) is the most significant improvement in Dodge County health care in over 30 years.

The 200,000-square-foot, 60-bed acute care hospital combines advanced technology with a design that promotes accessibility and comfort in a healing environment. Investments made in state-of-the-art information systems and diagnostic, treatment and surgical services provide area residents with advanced health care while attracting top notch health care professionals to practice here.

A health care team of over 1,000 dedicated employees including over 100 physicians on staff, provides patient-centered care at BDCH. Most physician offices are located in the new medical building adjacent to the hospital. Other practitioners, such as the only pediatrician in the city, are located a block from the hospital in the professional offices along Warren Street.

Residents of the Beaver Dam region have access locally to physicians qualified in many medical specialty areas, including family practice; pediatrics; emergency medicine; anesthesia; internal medicine; obstetrics/gynecology; oncology; ophthalmology; ear, nose and throat; radiology; pathology; neurology; general; vascular and orthopaedic surgery; urology; podiatry; oral surgery; dermatology; psychiatry; infectious disease; pulmonology; rheumatology; occupational health; and gastroenterology.

These professionals are joined by a host of dental, optometric and psychiatric practices/offices, as well as treatment services for substance abuse and addiction, which are found throughout the city. All are staffed by caring professionals trained by experts in their fields.
