brookfield government

The Town of Brookfield was established in 1843 and is governed by the town chairperson and four supervisors. The City of Brookfield was incorporated in 1954 with a mayor and city council form of government.

Using communications technology, teamwork and years of experience, local government has instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment throughout the city and town – bringing many improvements, creating new jobs and preparing for further expansion.

Brookfield is the home of numerous civic clubs and community organizations that add vitality to the community. There are dozens of active groups in the area that have charters and members that span many generations.
