Annual Events in Mosinee

Annual Events in Mosinee Wisconsin

The Mosinee area hosts community family annual events. Get to know our community through its local events, art and culture. Opportunities in and around Mosinee make it easy to explore the region’s heritage and experience its rich character. Many business, school, church and community groups hold annual events each year along with area clubs: Optimists, Lions, MAAC, Masons, Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, VFW and Fire and Police Departments are some of our many community clubs.

The Creske Center’s large auditorium, located in the Mosinee High School, seats 786 guests for plays, seminars and concerts.

The Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce hosts annual holiday events and parades, including our Community Connection Breakfasts, Chamber Luncheons, Ribbon Cuttings and Open House events. Each May, we hold the Community Sales Days and Chamber Open House with three full days of yard, garage, business and community sales.

July 4th, the Mosinee Area Chamber and the City of Mosinee celebrate Independence Day with a festival, parade and fireworks. The event features children’s events with the USA Dream Flight Shuttle tour, music, food and refreshment area at River Park. Our downtown parade and fabulous fireworks display pack the park.

Every August, the Mosinee Area Chamber Greater Mosinee Golf Outing (GMO) is held; we also celebrate our rich history with the Little Bull Falls LogJam Festival & Fire over the Wisconsin River Show. The second weekend in August, River Park overflows with artisans, exhibits, food, live entertainment, the Woodsman 5K Walk/Run, cane pole fishing, historic rendezvous, Civil War & other encampment areas, logging displays, cemetery walk, Native American displays and main event shows. In October, our Mosinee Area Chamber and Mosinee Area Optimists offer area families an opportunity to celebrate with the Haunting of River Park event and our Spookly Pumpkin Coloring Contest. Community fall fests also fill the area.

Cold weather brings more family fun in Mosinee. The first Saturday in December is the Mosinee Area Annual Christmas Festival with our Arts & Crafts Show, small business and community section, MHS Scholarship candy cane event, Breakfast with Santa, children’s area, Chili Challenge, Mosinee High School Choir Bake Sale and Santa visit.
