Chamber of Commerce

The Richland County area offers a diversified base of businesses. Agriculture, retail and service, and manufacturing are among the top industries – and one can certainly include tourism, thanks to the area’s rich recreational opportunities and preserved outdoor spaces. A great location, exceptional schools, a modern healthcare facility and a supportive business environment contribute to the attractive economic vitality of the Richland County area.

The Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and Richland County Economic Development Corporation merged in 2008 to form the nonprofit Richland Chamber & Development Alliance (RCDA). This joint effort strengthens the economic base in Richland County through improved coordination of economic efforts in the area, enhanced communication and increased opportunities for members and the general community.

The RCDA provides valuable resources for both new and existing businesses, offers advising services, works proactively with local and State officials to offer financial assistance and incentives, and supplies a business center complete with two workstations with high-speed Internet access, a meeting room and printing, copying and fax services. Other benefits provided to members include marketing, advertising and networking opportunities, business education, directory listings, referral services, access to the Chamber Health Insurance Program and more.

The Richland County Inventors & Entrepreneur Club, or, for short, the I & E Club, is an RCDA program for local entrepreneurs, artists, inventors and other individuals interested in accessing resources, education and networking opportunities. Inventors & Entrepreneurs Trade Show, co-hosted by UW-Richland and the RCDA, showcases local small businesses and their ideas, products and services.
