Included in the construction are updates to the Med/Surg Unit, Special Care Unit and Birth Center, as well as new access to the rooftop Helipad and second-floor additions of hospital administrative offices and sleep study areas.

In 1996, Richland Hospital and Richland Medical Center announced plans for the establishment of a joint campus in Richland Center. The medical center employs 25 healthcare providers and welcomes numerous specialists traveling from other area hospitals who provide high-quality care in varying fields.

Also on-site in the Richland Medical Center is the Richland Community Free Clinic, a volunteer-operated and supported organization offering a number of beneficial services to uninsured and underinsured residents of the region. The clinic is open to walk-ins between 8 a.m. and Noon every Tuesday.

The benefits of therapeutic massage and bodywork are numerous, and include improved circulation, relaxation and stress reduction, enhanced flexibility, pain relief, improved posture and a strengthened immune system, among other merits.
