The Waupun Area School District and the community are committed to excellence in education and student success in becoming lifelong learners capable of competing and contributing to a dynamic global society. The district serves approximately 2,300 students from Waupun and the surrounding area offering quality education for grades K-12. It is the first school district in Wisconsin to be fully accredited. Parent/teacher or parent advisory committees at each school are progressive with a strategic plan in place that is focusing the district on a path of continuous improvement. A challenging academic program combined with sports, the arts and practical educational programs provide students with educational opportunities suited to each individual’s goals. Positive school climates support student social and personal growth.

Some of the programs that make the district special are: comprehensive programs for exceptional educational needs; gifted and talented education; access to current computer technology; community education; early childhood education; career passport counseling and education for employment.

Central Wisconsin Christian Schools have been established in Waupun since 1948, providing quality education with a sound moral and biblical basis for four-year-old kindergarten students through senior high school. The elementary campus provides full-day instruction. Middle school and high school students receive their education at one facility. This facility has been designed to include modern science and computer labs, technology education and an integrated media center.

Beyond the core curricula of Waupun’s Christian schools, students are given opportunities to explore a wide range of topics and activities such as music, the arts, government, worship athletics, vocational education, journalism, drama and other various internships.

Adult educational opportunities are abundant and include college course work, vocational and technical courses. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Fond du Lac campus, Marian College, Ripon College and Moraine Park Technical College are a short commuting distance from Waupun. Other state and private colleges are easily accessible as well.
