Laramie, WY Chamber

Welcome to Laramie, Wyoming!

You are about to step inside a world where the pace of life complements the diversity of the region. Our local economy is growing and our recreational capacity is unparalleled.

The Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic organization of over 500 businesses that help to shape the economy, promote the community, and set the pace for the future of Laramie, Albany County, and beyond!

As you explore the community, keep in mind that the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce is a one-stop venue for visitor information. Our membership is as varied as the community’s assets. The influence of the University of Wyoming, Laramie County Community College and WyoTech, — a highly regarded automotive vocational school, attracts students, professionals, and educators from all over the country. The intellectual environment is highlighted by a charming downtown area, featuring many buildings that have been lovingly restored. The restaurants are equally creative in their offerings and atmospheres. You will also recognize national brands of chain stores and familiar franchises found across the country.

The Old West also lives on in modern-day Laramie. The broad plain on which the city lies supports big cattle ranches and the proud individualism that typifies life on the land. The Snowy Range Mountains to the west shelter a downhill ski area, 80 mountain lakes and innumerable ice-cold mountain streams. There is also all the room in the world for snowmobiling, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, camping and all other manner of mountain delights. You will find Medicine Bow National Forest and Vedauwoo — (pronounced vee-da-voo) — a favorite place for enjoying the outdoors — just to the east of Laramie. Vedauwoo is a series of rock formations that feature some of the best rock climbing in the United States, a modern campground and wonderful walking and biking trails. Don’t forget your fishing pole to dip into any one of the several mountain streams.
