Art & Entertainment in Peoria

With all the entertainment options in Peoria, the only question visitors and residents have is, “What do we do first?”

The Arrowhead Entertainment District is home to the Peoria Sports Complex, a multi-use venue that hosts regular sports and entertainment programs. The $34 million training home of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres was the first two-team Major League Baseball spring training facility in the country. Consisting of an 11,333-seat, shared stadium and 12 practice fields, each team utilizes six major league-sized practice fields, a clubhouse spanning more than 40,000 square feet and indoor/outdoor batting tunnels and cages. Counting both baseball and non-baseball events, the Complex attracts an estimated 530,000 visitors each year. It hosts many of Peoria’s signature events, such as Fourth of July, Halloween celebrations, as well as other festivals, concerts and sport tournaments. Close to the Peoria Sports Complex are two ice-skating rinks, a roller skating facility and movie theaters.

Within one to two miles from Peoria resides the Arizona Cardinals home football stadium, with the only all-grass field that is played upon in a climate-controlled stadium. Next door is the Phoenix Coyotes arena—hockey at its best!

The Entertainment District of Peoria is home to Arizona Broadway Theatre, an exceptional theater with an elegant dining experience and Arizona’s newest professional dinner theater. The luxurious theater accommodates 400 guests. In addition, Arizona Broadway Theatre hosts the Academy for Young Performers to inspire young people in developing an appreciation for the performing arts through the education and exploration of theatrical skills.
