graphicFor a mid-size city the size of Tucson (considered 64th in "media market size"), residents and visitors have a surprisingly large number of regional publications, radio stations, and television outlets to choose from.

Whether your tastes range from hard news daily newspapers (we have three), alternative weeklys, or feature-oriented specialty monthly publications, the Old Pueblo has it all, and many are available online. Many of the small, specialty newspapers and magazines (sports, new age, health, and lifestyle) are free and easily found around town at local bookstores, libraries and eateries. For those media junkies, rest assured Tucson has several specialty newspaper/magazine shops that carry daily newspapers from around the country, as does our great library system.

As you’d expect, Tucson has local affiliates for all the major television networks, including two Spanish-language stations (a total of 9 broadcast stations), as well as a choice of four cable TV companies, depending on the area you settle in. Being a high-tech Mecca, Tucson has available digital cable as well as high-speed cable Internet access. We also have one of the best-funded public access cable networks in the nation.

The area’s 35 radio stations cover an incredible range of music, news and talk, sports, and public & community formats. When you relocate to Tucson and have cable TV installed, be sure to request the cable-radio option (usually free on request) which will open your listening options to stations on both coasts, as well as specialty, non-commercial cable-radio networks.
