Welcome to Burr Ridge

Large, estate-size properties; lush, ornamental landscapes; and bucolic, quiet subdivisions distinguish the village of Burr Ridge as “a very special place” for residents. Yet the village’s convenient location to Interstate 55 and the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) beckons a diverse business community of more than 400 corporations, retailers and manufacturers. Incorporated in 1956 with a population of less than 300 people, the village of Burr Ridge continues to grow from its current population that exceeds 10,000 residents. Municipal leaders and residents prioritize the natural habitat of the community, doing everything possible to improve, protect and preserve the beautiful trees, landscaping and natural resources that so define the village. Burr Ridge also takes pride in being recognized as one of the top 300 wealthiest communities in America. For residents and businesses considering new construction, prime vacant property is still available in several Burr Ridge areas of both Cook and DuPage counties. Because of its large commercial tax base, Burr Ridge maintains one of the lowest overall municipal tax rates in the region.

For commuters and Chicago-bound students or shoppers, PACE provides a Park-n-Ride service that enables motorists to leave their cars in a convenient lot near the County Line Square and Burr Ridge Village Shopping Centers. Commuters can then take the bus to Chicago’s loop or head to the Hinsdale train station for a direct Burlington Northern train ride downtown.

Lodging options are plentiful for area business travelers or out-of-town guests who use the services of Extended Stay of America, Chicago Marriott Southwest, AmeriSuites or The Oaks. Visit to learn more. Several limousine services are just minutes away for trips to Midway or O’Hare airports, Chicago, Oak Brook or other regional destinations.

The village is served by the Burr Ridge and Pleasant Dale park districts. Celebrating 25-plus years of community service, the Burr Ridge Park District accommodates 7,400 residents with 11 active and passive parks and a public pool, encompassing about 80 acres of land. An abundance of recreation classes and activities cater to children and adults of all ages. The Pleasant Dale Park District serves 10,000 residents in Burr Ridge and several neighboring towns. Pleasant Dale maintains about 128 acres of parkland, including the expansive Walker Park and Lake Carriage Way in Burr Ridge. The district offers hundreds of recreation programs, trips and special events for residents of all ages.
