Edward-Elmhurst Health Hospital has 309 private patient rooms and 4,700 employees, including 1,350 nurses and a medical staff of nearly 1,050 physicians consisting of independent members of the medical staff, employed physicians and independent contractors. The physicians represent 75 medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties with 98 percent board certified in their specialty.

The 7,900-square-foot, $5.7 million Edward Emergency Department provides 24/7/365 care, while the $18 million, two-story, 30,000-square-foot Cancer Center supplies comprehensive outpatient services to cancer patients. Opened in 2008, AMITA Healthcare is a comprehensive medical center with a mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ. AMITA Healthcare specializes in cardiac care, imaging services, women’s care, healthPAS, pain treatment and management, surgical services and interventional radiology.
