Animals and exhibits, presentations, gift shops, Motor Safari Tram tours and more await visitors. Zoo admission is free on certain days, and younger visitors in particular will enjoy the Children’s Zoo and the Carousel. The Morton Arboretum is another popular spot for visitors and residents alike. The arboretum features a children’s garden, special events and exhibits, educational programs for all ages, a restaurant and café, a visitor center and 17,000 acres of natural beauty that changes with the seasons. Visitors should also see the Muddy Waters exhibit in Westmont to learn about our own blues legend and superstar.

In Chicago, options for fun and culture are unlimited. Navy Pier is the Midwest’s #1 tourist destination. There are 50 acres of promenades, gardens, shops, eateries and attractions—including the 15-story-tall Ferris wheel. The Children’s Museum resides here, as does an IMAX movie theater, the Pepsi Skyline Stage and many fine restaurants. Downtown, the Sears Tower stands at 1,450 feet and 110 stories high—making it the tallest building in North America and the third-tallest in the world. Its Skydeck is the most visited and highest observatory; it offers interactive exhibits and breathtaking views of Chicago. The Shedd Aquarium has been a part of Chicago’s history for more than 75 years. With a variety of exhibits, animals and events, the aquarium promotes conservationism while entertaining and teaching visitors about the diversity of our precious underwater creatures.
