Dubuque County

Dubuque stands as the county seat of Dubuque County. The County is represented by three county supervisors who are elected to four-year terms. Like the City of Dubuque, Dubuque County strives to supply the region with excellent public services, including the health department, veterans affairs, emergency management and public safety through the sheriff’s office – among others. The County Courthouse, a landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, stands as the center of County government and can be seen towering over the heart of Downtown Dubuque.
