The hospital also received the “EMT-Paramedic Emergency Medical Service of the Year” award by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), and has been commended multiple times as one of the nation’s “Most Wired Hospitals.”

HCHC provides healthcare ranging from cardiopulmonary, rehabilitation and inpatient services to emergency, imaging, laboratory and surgery services. In addition to the services provided by HCHC and its affiliates, Mount Pleasant is served by multiple independent healthcare providers. Services range from dental and eye care to chiropractic and mental health care. One notable organization is Family Medicine in Mount Pleasant, P.C. Formed in 1990, this team of physicians offer family practice healthcare with obstetrics, internal medicine and nephrology services.

As the population ages, senior care has also become a priority in Henry County. Several assisted-living options help fill the need. One facility, Park Place, is on the Henry County Health Center campus. Pleasant Manor Care Center is a licensed nursing facility that provides immediate care to area seniors, while Arbor Court features multiple facilities that offer four levels of services ranging from independent living to long-term care. Another prominent option for the elderly population in Mount Pleasant is SunnyBrook at Ashford Park. SunnyBrook’s philosophy is to promote services in a home-like environment and in a manner that supports each individual’s needs and preferences. Services include memory care, home care, and assisted living options.
