Known as a town dedicated to preserving and sharing its vibrant cultures and traditions, Eunice has a plethora of attractions and events sure to appeal to a variety of interests.

One popular spot not to miss while visiting Eunice is the Liberty Center for the Performing Arts, which is the location of a two-hour live Cajun radio program every week. People from throughout the region, the country and even overseas come to dance, listen to music and have a good time.

The center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been included in the Great American Movie Theatres Preservation Press Guide which is published by the Smithsonian. The Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Cultural Center’s goal is to show the influences area cultures have had on the region’s history and development.


Exhibition rooms share the history of the Cajun people through displays, photographs and artifacts. Music and video presentations, speakers, demonstrations of local crafts and cooking presentations are all available for the public to enjoy.

Other attractions and events not to miss include the Eunice Depot Museum, the Cajun Music Hall of Fame Museum, the Reed Home, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Savoy Music Center, the Cajun Prairie Restoration Project, the Robert Dafford Prairie Mural, Ardoin’s Building, the Louis Wright Store, Nick’s on 2nd, Courir de Mardi Gras, the World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off, the Prairie Cajun Folklife Festival, the Cajun French Music Association Cajun Music Festival, the Eunice Festival of Arts and Louisiana State University at Eunice Community Day, and the Louisiana Cajun Culture and Music Club.
